Quality Assurance Engineer
We are looking for bright, motivated and experienced technologists to join our New York City based Quality Assurance team in the Union Square area.
Key Responsibilities
Run high quality test plans / test cases for testing browser based interfaces to multimedia content
UAT and function testing
Carry out structured testing activities on parallel, time pressure projects.
Liaise with development teams for gathering technical information.
Implement automated suites for testing browser based interfaces to multimedia content.
Contribute to continual improvement of QA work processes based on QA best practices.
Requirements
2 years recent experience as a QA engineer working on enterprise class internet based services or equivalent development experience
Solid understanding of browser based interfaces and plug-in technology, Web app testing, GUI testing
Good understanding of very large scale internet distributed services architectures
Nice to have
Good working knowledge of one or more scripting languages – such as Perl / Javascript / Python / Ruby
Experience using automated off- the-shelf testing suites for browser based interfaces.
Understanding of QA techniques and their application within a software project
Experience with commercial test management / defect tracking applications
